The only one West Bountiful
The town's one community park, on the flat by the freeway
West Bountiful City Park, fourteen and a half flat acres by the freeway
The city's one community park sits on flat ground at 550 West Pages Lane, hard against Interstate 15 on the west side of town. Fourteen and a half acres hold a large bowery, a court with six basketball hoops, two sand volleyball courts, three ball fields, two playgrounds and a loop path around the outside. There is no splash pad here; the nearest one is a mile east in Bountiful.
The short answer
West Bountiful City Park is the city's one community park, fourteen and a half acres of flat ground at 550 West Pages Lane, beside Interstate 15 on the west side of town. It carries almost everything West Bountiful does outdoors: a large bowery that seats about 300, a court with six basketball hoops, two sand volleyball courts, three baseball and softball fields, two playgrounds, and a loop path of about eight tenths of a mile around the outside. There is no splash pad here or anywhere else in the city, so the nearest one is at the South Davis Recreation Center in Bountiful, a mile east. The park is open daily from early morning to about 10:30 at night, and the one thing worth planning ahead is a bowery reservation, because residents can book from the second Monday in January while everyone else waits until March.

What's at the park
What you'll find on the fourteen and a half acres
West Bountiful sits on the flat valley floor between Interstate 15 and the Great Salt Lake shore, and the park sits right on that flat, which is part of why it can hold so much in one place. The city's inventory lists a large bowery that seats about 300 and four smaller ones, two restrooms, 26 picnic tables, two playgrounds, a basketball court with six hoops, two sand volleyball courts, and three baseball and softball fields. A walking path of about eight tenths of a mile runs the outside edge, an easy, flat loop for a stroller or an evening lap. There is also a small historic cabin among the features. If a household activity in West Bountiful happens outdoors and it is not golf, it usually happens here.
This is the city's only community park, so it does the work that three or four parks might do in a bigger town. The Independence Day fireworks go up from this block. The city's one large covered pavilion is here. It is the default answer to where the children play, and because it runs along the freeway, most of the city is a short, flat drive from it.

The splash pad question
Is there a splash pad? Not here, but a mile east
No. There is no splash pad at City Park, and none anywhere else in West Bountiful, which is worth saying plainly because it is the thing people ask about first. When the city has asked residents what they would most like to see, a splash pad has come out on top. For now, the nearest one is at the South Davis Recreation Center in Bountiful, about a mile east.
That center matters more than the drive suggests. West Bountiful is one of the member cities of the South Davis Recreation District, so a West Bountiful address gets resident admission there. The building has the indoor pools, the ice rink, the gyms and the splash pads that a city of this size does not build on its own, and for a household here it is effectively the second half of the parks picture.
Reserving a pavilion
Hours, cost, and how to book a bowery
The park is open daily from about six in the morning until 10:30 at night, and it is free to walk into and use. The one thing that takes planning is a bowery. West Bountiful's large bowery is the only covered pavilion of its size in the city, and it fills up for the summer, so the calendar is the useful part.
Boweries rent from mid April to mid October. Reservations are made online through the city, and the booking window opens on the second Monday in January for residents and the second Monday in March for everyone else. That resident head start of about two months is worth knowing if a July or August date matters to your household, because in practice you are booking a summer date back in January. For parks questions the city's number is 801-292-4486.
The details
Getting there
From City Hall, head north on 800 West to Pages Lane and turn west; the park runs along the north side against the freeway, with two more entrances at 1810 North and 1890 North. From I-15, take the 400 North exit and go north on 800 West, or come south on 1100 West from the Centerville end. One caution for an evening visit: the park's lights cover the bowery and the volleyball courts only, so the fields and the loop path go dark after sunset.
Before you go
A few things worth knowing first
Evening lighting covers the bowery and volleyball courts only. The ball fields and the loop path have no lights, so once the sun is down they are dark. From roughly October through March that shortens the usable evening to whatever daylight is left after work.
Quick notes
- Book a bowery from the second Monday in January if you live in the city, or the second Monday in March if you do not. The large one seats about 300 and it is the only pavilion of its size in town.
- There is no splash pad here or anywhere in the city. The nearest is at the South Davis Recreation Center in Bountiful, where a West Bountiful address gets resident admission.
- The Independence Day fireworks launch from this park in early July, so expect the whole city to turn out that evening and plan to park early.
- Do not aim your map at City Hall by mistake; the park is on Pages Lane, about three quarters of a mile west of the 800 West civic block.
The rest of the green space
The pocket parks, the pickleball courts and the golf course
City Park does most of the work, but it is not the whole picture. West Bountiful keeps a couple of small pocket parks with a playground apiece: Birnam Woods Park at the west edge, behind the subdivision where a few streets meet the county trail, and Charnell Pocket Park up in the north of the city. There is also a bowery and gathering spot on the City Hall block on 800 West, in the old part of town.
The busiest free facility is not counted as a park at all. Four outdoor pickleball courts sit on 800 West just south of City Hall; they are lit, free, and first come first served rather than reservable, open from about six in the morning to ten at night. And the largest green thing in the city is Lakeside Golf Course, 114 acres the city owns and runs. It is a course you pay to play, so the city keeps it out of its park count.
Add it up and West Bountiful runs a little over 15 acres of parkland, which works out to roughly 2.7 acres per thousand residents, on the lean side compared with neighbors like Woods Cross and North Salt Lake. The city closes that gap by leaning on shared facilities: its membership in the South Davis Recreation District, the school fields, and the trails. Those trails carry more use than the acreage suggests, and the trail doors on the west edge onto the Legacy Parkway corridor are a big part of why.

The park, answered
West Bountiful City Park is at 550 West Pages Lane, on the west side of Interstate 15, with entrances on Pages Lane, 1810 North and 1890 North. It is the city's only community park. One thing to check before you follow a map: the park is on Pages Lane, not at City Hall, which sits about three quarters of a mile east on 800 West.
The city's inventory lists a large bowery that seats about 300, four smaller boweries, two restrooms, 26 picnic tables, two playgrounds, a basketball court with six hoops, two sand volleyball courts, three baseball and softball fields, a small historic cabin, and a walking path of about eight tenths of a mile around the edge. It covers 14.5 acres of flat ground, and it is the one place in town where most outdoor recreation happens.
The park is open daily from about 6:00 in the morning until 10:30 at night. The four pickleball courts on 800 West run a slightly shorter day, roughly 6:00 in the morning to 10:00 at night. Posted hours can change, so check the city's parks page if you are planning an early or a late visit.

Bowery reservations are made online through the city, and the calendar is the part that matters. That resident head start is worth planning around if you want a summer date on the only large covered pavilion in the city. The city's number for parks questions is 801-292-4486.
On 800 West just south of City Hall, on the civic block. There are four outdoor courts. They are lit, they are free, and they are first come first served rather than reservable, open from about 6:00 in the morning to 10:00 at night.
One community park and a handful of small pocket parks. West Bountiful City Park carries almost everything at 14.5 acres, and the pocket parks, including Birnam Woods Park at the west edge and Charnell Pocket Park in the north, add a playground here and there. Public park land totals a little over 15 acres. Lakeside Golf Course is a separate 114 acres and is not counted as a park.

That building has the indoor pools, the ice rink, the gyms and the splash pads that the city's own parks do not.
